It was soon evident, however, that more space and more associates were needed. The office was moved to the Cafeteria Building of the Old School Complex.

In 1985, Suzi bought out Windermere's oldest real estate firm, Windermere Improvement Co., Inc. Suzi and the floor associates moved into the more visible location (also rented) and went to great lengths to have telephone lines installed underground from the Main Office to the new branch so as to utilize the same telephone numbers (transferring calls as though from one room to another). Pre-planning and teamwork enabled two offices to work virtually as one.

It was in 1988 that Suzi heard a rumor that Pioneer Bank was selling their building at the corner of Sixth and Main in beautiful downtown Windermere. She called their headquarters and in about an hour, a contract was written and presented. Pioneer, however had one stipulation: that the closing would have to take place after the completion of their new facility in the Dr. Phillips Area. A year later, on Suzi's birthday (October 23, 1989), the closing actually took place.

Suzi not only designed the new office concept but she also handpicked the decor and personally oversaw the construction and installations. In designing the interior, she kept in mind the needs of the buyers, sellers, secretary and associates.

The new Suzi Karr Realty, Inc. office building was actually built in 1974. The building was well ahead of its time and won awards for both its unique design and landscaping. Having very little, if any, wasted space - and with two enclosed porches - the newly-renovated building offers a private office for Suzi, a reception center, greeting room, conference room with media center, work room, associates' lounge, associates' stations, storage room (the former vault) and a smoking porch.

What was once two antiquated real estate offices, is now one modern, up-to-date, state-of-the-art real estate center. Completely computerized, including the Voice Activated telephone system, the office is situated in the most visible location in downtown Windermere. Beautiful area photographs and paintings line the walls and the Celebrity Wall in the conference room is beginning to look like Who's Who in the entertainment business. Stop by for a peek!
